Nature’s Green Woven Ribbons Tea Trivet

My newest creation, "Nature's Green Woven Ribbons Tea Trivet".
I just posted it in my online shop,
www.abercot.etsy.com, and wrote a little poem
about tea trivets:

Tribute to Trivets
... by Gretchen

T - Tut, tut, Ted twittered,
R - Riveting, raved Roger –
I - Impart imagination!
V - Ventured Victor - Vivacious!
E - Edy exclaimed – Exotic and extraordinary!
T – To tea trivets, terrific!

Smile upon your day – add the Nature’s Green Woven Ribbons Tea Trivet to your table and cheeriness prevails! A trivet is a dressed-up hot pad to use under your hot pot of tea or a pitcher of iced tea or iced coffee, lemonade, or juice. PLESAE DO NOT PLACE ANYTHING HOTTER THAN A POT OF TEA on this trivet! The ribbons are made of various fabrics – cotton, nylon, rayon, polyester and they would most likely melt under a hot skillet or pan or glass dish just out of the oven.

The tea trivet is interlined with poly batting and the reverse side is a delightful summer cotton fabric, printed with paisley swirls of apricot orange, lime green, turquoise blue and cherry red on a sunflower yellow background. A pink rayon ribbon and pink and lime green buttons add a decorative touch to the trivet..

The tea trivet measures 5 ½ inches square. It will perk up your table and be a conversation piece, as well. I recommend hand washing and line drying. If you need to iron, use a low setting on the ribbon side.

Here’s to tea and trivets!
I've also started posting my poems on a free online publisher, Issuu. My site is www.issuu.com/abercot. If you enjoy writing and sharing, please consider Issuu. It's very easy and so much fun! Thanks for visiting. More later...
